Deputy Headteacher - Miss Taylor

I’ve had an interesting and varied work life; I started out as a general staff nurse working mainly in emergency and elderly care. Whilst working, I completed a degree in health then trained to be a teacher, qualifying in 2002 and joined Ladybarn Primary School. My twenty years here have been just as varied; I have taught in most year groups from reception to year 6, led on lots of different subject and areas and supported schools across Manchester as an Advanced Skills Teacher.

I have a daughter and together we are passionate about wildlife and animals in all forms including a variety of pets we have had over the years. There is not a farm, safari park or zoo we haven’t visited! Music is another passion; I play drums in a samba band and love to bring the party to wherever we are! I do love a bit of kitchen dancing despite the continued embarrassment of my daughter!

I have been very fortunate to be a member of Ladybarn for so long; I enjoy serving the community and love the fact I have taught so many pupils and families that I am now teaching their children too. This is an amazing team who everyday put the children first, I couldn’t ask for a better job.
